Eulogy

Catherine was a great person to be around. She was the person that people would come to when you were mad because you knew that she was going to make you laugh no matter what. The way that she was able to put a smile on somebody’s face so quickly was never questioned. Cathy was a big goofball. There is no way you could ever be sad around her because she’d ALWAYS find a way to cheer you up. Catherine didn’t like to show her problems as much so she would surround herself with a lot of people to keep herself busy.
Everybody has a bit of laziness within them and Cathy was one of those people who were lazy. She was a procrastinator but in the end, she always got her work done. Catherine was always considered as an all around worker who loved to work with people. She never looked at anybody a wrong way because of the way they looked, acted, or dressed. She would be taken advantage of and that’s when she began to change. Cathy started realizing that the world is harsh out there and to survive, you have to be harsh yourself. Laughing at people and herself or cracking jokes was one of the hobbies that Catherine got after realizing this. Everybody knew that was the way she acted and everybody loved her for it because even if she would make fun of people and herself, people would still love her company and friendship.
Catherine is a great friend to have around. She is the friend that will pick up at 3 in the morning to talk to you because you need help. Catherine was always a great listener and never asked for anything in return. Once she was done listening she did her best to help the person out and give them advice. She loved being around the people she loved the most. Cathy would do anything for them any time they needed it. She would always send text saying “Good night and I love you.” or “Good morning. Have a great day, I love you.” Catherine knew how to make the people she loved feel special anytime they would be in her presence or if they were holding a conversation with her, she always made it known how much she loved them.
Cathy played with heart…not just in basketball, in life. It was rare when she took life for granted. She tried to live her life as happy as possible. When you saw Cathy all you were able to see was her smile because her eyes would always close. She always had that smile on her face and it would be hard for a person to tear it down. Cathy was a strong person, physically and emotionally. She had the skill of being able to control her emotions when they would start acting out of hand or she knew how to keep a positive point of view in life when the times got rough. She was dedicated to all of the aspects of her life and without a doubt lived a happy life.
Catherine was also dedicated to the sport she loved the most, basketball, and of course her favorite hobby, movie watching. She loved playing basketball and loved watching movies. Cathy can play basketball for a whole day but then again could just lie on the couch and watch movies all day. She loved any type of movie as long as it was good and interesting. Her family at home always knew what she would be doing on the weekends, if she didn’t go to school one day, or if she just had the day off. She would watch movies.
Cathy was a great person to be around and it is sad to let her go, but it is always comforting when people realize that they have somebody that loves her friends and family more than anything in this world up in the sky watching over them. Her memory will always be among us. We love you!
