Diversity

Diversity is something that is big in our society. People should understand that diversity is involved in our communities. I hate how people do not understand the deeper meanings of diversity. Of course, people think that diversity is when there is more than one type of race in your environment and yes that is true but that is not the whole meaning, to me. To me, diversity means that there is more than race in this society and we should acknowledge them. Some people are just racist towards other races and that is not right. When people go to college and they see the school they want to go to, they see that the college is diverse. When you see that, accept it! I hate when people go to college and then still do racist acts towards the other races. If you did not want to go to a place where it is diverse, then why didn’t you go to another school where it is only one race? I think that we need to acknowledge every race and accept that our society is not just one race. It is more than one, White, African American, Asian, Hispanic, Indian and etc. Diversity means that you are living with people of different color too. I think that you have to respect the diversity because every race has their reason to be there. We are all equal. We can all be on the same level if we were treated the same and given the same opportunity.
